Hard disk drive

FUNCTION :

A type of storage device that contains one or more inflexible , cicular platters that store data , instruction and information .

Floppy drive

FUNCTION :

A device that reads form and writes on floppy disk .

Zip Drive

FUNCTION :

A high-capacity disk drive that reads form and writes on a zip disk .

DVD / CD-RW drive

 

FUNCTION :

A combination drive that reads DVD and CD media , and writes to CD-RW media .

CD-Rom drive

FUNCTION :

A device that reads audio CDs , CD-ROMs , CD-Rs and CD-RWs .

DVD-Rom drive

FUNCTION  :

A device that reads DVD rom , audio CDs , CD ROMs , CD-Rs and CD-RWs .

Power Supply

FUNCTION :

Converts standard electrical power into a form that the computer can use . If a power supply is not providing the necessary power , the computer will not function properly .

Motherboard

FUNCTION :

Main circuit board of the system unit , it has some electronic components attached to it .

Reset button

FUNCTION :

Restarting the computer , instruct the computer to go through the process of shutting down , which would clear the memory and reset devices to their initialized state . Its simply remove power immediately .

Power button

FUNCTION :

to turn the computer on .

Input / Output port (1/0 port)

FUNCTION :

a port is the point at which a pelipheral attaches to a system unit so that the pelipheral is able to sent data and receive information from the computer .
